My journey in education has included adventures across the United States and abroad. I have educational experience teaching and leading in Texas, California, Colorado, and Colombia, South America. The journey has included being a classroom teacher in 2nd-4th grade, coaching and supporting teachers with multilingual learners of all ages, offering school and district math instructional support, and leading as a math curriculum specialist. Joy on this journey is seeing a spark ignite and a fire lit when a teacher or student acquires new learning in mathematics. This joy is what brought me to the 2Partner team.

Since joining the 2Partner team, I have applied each area of my expertise to support leaders, coaches, and teachers in growing their mathematical knowledge. Providing space for grade level teacher teams to build mathematical meaning is my favorite part of the work. There is a true moment of vulnerability when teachers share and represent their mathematical thinking with each other. The result is a new, deeper understanding and awareness of how to support students in mathematics.
