As a classroom teacher, I was fortunate to have coaches and colleagues who were able to recognize and build on my strengths as a math teacher, to increase my knowledge of how students learn math, and to push and challenge me to try new instructional practices that best support students. Later, as a teacher leader, math coach, and district math instructional coordinator, I was able to use my new learning and my excitement about teaching math to support others’ growth.

In my role as a 2Partner consultant, the greatest success I’ve had is helping teachers increase their knowledge and confidence in their math teaching and develop a sense of self-efficacy that in turn builds confidence in their students as mathematicians.
